A few years ago, before coding agents were ever a thing, creating a production-grade SaaS would take months. Even basic apps like podcast players would take weeks at least to be market ready. Now we see new apps filling Product Hunt’s front pages that were created within weeks using modern tools like Claude Code. What used to take days and weeks to create and a month to polish now can be done in just hours.
You can generate a pretty good app just by describing it to a coding agent. But AI is not a technology that gets you anything close to perfect. AI apps still aren’t production-grade. But they get you close.
Some days ago, we launched Kyo — a companyOS for agencies.
Within 2 days of having the idea of an all-in-one platform for us to internally manage tasks, clients, HR, finances, KPIs, documents, sales, and more, we had built out all the features we wanted and had an app we began using on a daily basis. The next 27 days were spent on polishing designs, fixing bugs, refining features, and enhancing UX.
What would have taken us a week to design, a month to code, and another month to polish was now all done in under 30 days.
